I’ve always liked the E90 Sprinter body of the the Prizm...so much better than the related E90 Corolla.
It’s too bad is wasn’t a GSi; I still kind of want one...

The perfect car for someone who wanted a good car in 1991 but thought that imports were sacrilegious because it’s so obviously not an import because it’s an American brand.

Nope. It’s definitely not a Corolla. Don’t you see that it says Geo on it? It’s a GM car.
I have actually heard this argument before.

Had the same argument when I was working as a car salesman and had a customer wanting a $5000 Toyota. We had a $5000 Pontiac Vibe. There were Toyota Motor Company labels all over the car, which I pointed out.

Probably the same thought process that lead to my grandfather buying a Mitsubishi in the early ‘70s (Dodge Colt).

It was the same thought pattern that got my Dodge-loving grandfather to buy a Mitsu as well. After that car, he decided that he liked Japanese cars better, but I do wonder if he knew it was made by the same company that made the Zeros that flew into his carrier 40 years earlier. He was a firefighter on the Wasp.
